ChecAuto MX is a free application that allows you to easily check the status of a vehicle and visualize high-risk areas for vehicle theft.

Are you planning to purchase a used car?

Have you noticed any abandoned or suspiciously parked vehicles?

Do you know how safe your car will be in the area where you parked it?

Through this application, users can instantly verify if a vehicle has been reported stolen or not.

This application enables searches based on different criteria, such as license plate, vehicle identification number (VIN) — typically located on the dashboard or registration card—, as well as the Vehicle Public Registry (REPUVE) registration certificate number — found on the blue sticker on the windshield.

It incorporates Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to read the license plate or VIN using the mobile device's camera. Users should position their mobile device approximately 2 meters away and tap on the recognized number once it's detected.

In addition, ChecAuto MX includes a new functionality that allows users to view a crime index map showing locations where vehicle thefts have occurred, marked with red dots. Alternatively, users can navigate the map, select other areas of interest or intended visits, validate the crime index for those zones, and take preemptive measures to secure their vehicles.
